The Chicagoland Hound Association is a Limited Breed AKC Recognized Club. Founded in 2000 as the Midwest Hound Association, it later became an AKC licensed club under its current name.
The CHA is dedicated to:
- The advancement of all AKC Hound Breeds.
- Do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of dog shows, performance trials and events, and to encourage sportsmanlike competition at such events.
- Conduct sanctioned matches, dog shows, agility trials, field trials, obedience trials, performance and other events for which the club is eligible under the rules and regulations of The American Kennel Club.
